The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to impact everyone across our great nation. During these challenging times, Duke Realty’s top priority is our people—particularly our associates, tenants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Keeping them in good health is at the core of our operational decisions.
We’re monitoring the latest information about the virus and taking steps to be in full compliance with local and national directives and recommendations from the CDC. Below is a brief overview of updates to our business operations:
- All of our associates in the United States are telecommuting to reduce interactions with others. They remain available via phone, email, and text to work with you. Feel free to contact anyone on our team.
- We’ve been talking with our tenants to determine their operational plans and ensure they’re aware of the CDC’s recommendations—and to offer assistance arranging cleaning vendors if needed. We value our tenants and are committed to working together with them while assisting any way we can throughout this crisis.
- We’ve also been proactive on our construction sites around the country. We’ve communicated with all of our subcontractors and vendors stressing the need for their compliance with CDC guidelines, as well as their obligation to report and follow quarantine requirements for any person with COVID-19 symptoms. We’ve issued new sanitation tools and cleaning guidelines at our job sites as well. And in states requiring the total shutdown of sites, we have complied.
These are strange and difficult times for everyone, but we’re optimistic that the future is bright. In the meantime, we’re going to continue doing our part helping to stop the spread of the coronavirus while meeting our customers’ needs and supporting them any way we can.
