Armada Warehouse Solutions Leases New Duke Realty Building Before Construction Begins

Planned 447,606 SF speculative building in Camp Creek Business Center becomes a build-to-suit warehouse for logistics company.

(Atlanta, Ga. – Dec. 14, 2016) The Atlanta office of Duke Realty Corporation (Duke Realty), a leading nationwide REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in the ownership, management and development of bulk industrial facilities, announced that Armada Warehouse Solutions (Armada) has signed a long-term lease for a new 447,606-square-foot, build-to-suit facility at 3707 North Commerce Drive. Duke Realty had been designing its next speculative building on the site. The building is located in Camp Creek Business Center, its 400-acre, mixed-use business park in East Point, Ga., south of Atlanta.

“Camp Creek Business Center has again proven to be attractive to an industry-leading logistics company looking for high-quality warehouse/distribution space,” said Chris Brown, Senior Vice President of Duke Realty’s Southeast operations. “We are pleased to have been able to modify the building specifications to incorporate Armada’s requirements while still maintaining an aggressive schedule.”

Armada’s new warehouse will be located near the north entrance of Camp Creek Business Center at the intersection of Camp Creek Parkway and North Commerce Drive just off I-285. The cross-dock building will feature 36′ clear height and include 82 dock doors, 100 automobile parking spaces and 87 trailer spaces. Additionally, the space will contain approximately 107,700 square feet of freezer/cooler area inside the building. Construction is expected to start in December with delivery in July 2017.

“This new modern building will provide us with excellent interstate access and state-of-the art features to efficiently store, ship and receive products,” said Joe Dominijanni, President and COO, Armada. “Since Duke Realty had a site prepared and building plans in place, we will be able to be operational in 2017.”
