Good Neighbors, Good Business

CEO Statement of Commitment

Duke Realty seeks to increase diversity in our operations and provide opportunities for diverse suppliers to participate in our business. We feel supplier diversity should be recognized as a value-adding business practice—one that will enhance our competitive position while strengthening our contractor base in the communities we serve. We encourage all who work for and with Duke Realty to support this important effort.

Under our supplier diversity program, we reach out to qualified minority, women, veteran, and small businesses to expand our base of high-quality goods and services while enhancing economic opportunity for those who provide them.

Jim Connor, Chairman & CEO

Getting Started

Those wishing to partner with us under the Supplier Diversity program must first acquire certification from recognized organizations and/or agencies. Companies must also register as potential Duke Realty vendors. Though we can’t do business with everyone, we strive to foster strong relationships with those qualified vendors who offer competitive pricing for quality goods and services that meet our business needs.

Certification and Requirements

To enhance the integrity of our Supplier Diversity program, Duke Realty requires certifications be obtained from a third party. We accept certifications from city, state, and the federal SBA (Small Business Administration) government agency and from the following listed organizations and their affiliates:

The following self-classifications can be processed through the System for Awards Management (SAM):

  • Small Business (SB)
  • Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB)
  • Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)
  • Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)

The following certifications are not self-classifications and must be certified through the SBA:

  • Small Business Association 8(a)
  • Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone)
