Each year, Duke Realty employees at our Minneapolis office hold an annual volunteer event to give back to our community. In December, we worked together with CEAP (Community Emergency Assistance Program) to help brighten Christmas for families in need.
“We’ve been working with CEAP for several years, and it’s been really enjoyable for all of us. We get so much out of it because it’s for an excellent cause: helping families—and especially the kids—in our city,” said Josh Budish, vice president, leasing and development.
CEAP is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing information, referrals, advocacy, and assistance to low-income families, senior citizens, and adults with disabilities. Every year, they gather donations of gifts so that at Christmas time, families in need can “shop” for gifts for their children and loved ones free of charge using a points system.
“This year we all donated gifts to CEAP, and then we helped them set up, organize, present the gifts—pretty much whatever they needed,” said Budish. “The folks at CEAP were incredibly nice and appreciative of our support, so that meant a lot to us too.”
Duke Realty is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work, so we’re always excited to have such a special opportunity to help people.
“This was a great team effort from Duke Realty. We had an excellent turnout, we got all the work done and we had an amazing time.”
