Rex Healthcare of Holly Springs Medical Office Building honored for innovation in commercial real estate
(Raleigh, NC – February 3, 2012) The Raleigh office of Duke Realty Corporation (Duke Realty) was awarded the Triangle Business Journal’s SPACE award for Top Office Development for Rex Healthcare of Holly Springs Medical Office Building. Duke Realty was selected by Rex Healthcare to develop this 30,000-square foot, two-story facility, which the health provider leases in its entirety. Rex Healthcare of Holly Springs Medical Office Building is located at 781 Avent Ferry Road in Holly Springs, North Carolina, and includes physician offices, urgent care facilities, a clinical laboratory and radiology services.
“When Rex Healthcare decided to open a new facility to provide residents in Southern Wake County with convenient access to quality healthcare, they looked for a partner with medical office development expertise and one committed to this community,” said Jeff Sheehan, Senior Vice President of Duke Realty’s Raleigh operations. “We knew we wanted to have a relationship with this respected healthcare provider and were excited to collaborate with them on a facility that meets their specific needs. Our reputation as one of the area’s leading developers, coupled with our healthcare team’s more than 20 years of experience in developing high-quality, industry-compliant healthcare facilities, helped make us Rex Healthcare’s choice for bringing this facility to market. Congratulations to everyone at Duke Realty, as well as our project partners, for delivering this award-winning property.”
Ground was broken on the Rex Healthcare of Holly Springs building in November 2010. In December 2011, this state-of-the-art facility was delivered. Located at the corner of the State Highway 55 Bypass and Avent Ferry Road in Holly Springs, the facility is ideally positioned to serve residents of this fast-growing Raleigh suburb.
Jones Lang LaSalle, which has a branch in Raleigh, served as a consultant and owner’s representative for Rex Healthcare. The architect for the MOB was BJAC, which has offices in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. The general contractor was the Raleigh office of Brasfield & Gorrie.
