Commercial real estate company earns Developer of the Year distinction and is recognized for development and property management excellence.
(Indianapolis, Ind. – Mar. 2, 2012) Duke Realty Corporation’s (Duke Realty) Indianapolis office was recently honored by the local chapters of two national commercial real estate organizations for its excellence in development and property management in Central Indiana and by a local association for a construction project. At Indiana NAIOP’s (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) annual awards event, Duke Realty was named Developer of the Year, and walked away with another top award and was runner-up in the same category. During the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Indianapolis’ TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) awards, Duke Realty was recognized for the operations and management of two of its properties. Duke Realty’s construction team was awarded the General Contractor’s Project of the Year award by the Indiana Subcontractor’s Association (ISA) for the expansion of Building 1 at AllPoints at Anson for Amazon.com.
For the second time in three years, Duke Realty was named Developer of the Year, the most prestigious award given by Indiana NAIOP. This award goes to the company that excels in industrial, office and healthcare development, leasing activities and economic contributions to the community. Among Duke Realty’s most noteworthy projects this past year were D-A Lubricant’s new corporate headquarters, new leases with Traveler’s Insurance and Interactive Intelligence, and the development of the Faculty Office Building on the new Eskenazi (Wishard) Health campus. The Browning-Duke Realty joint venture won this award in 2009.
Duke Realty also received NAIOP’s Best Industrial Deal of the Year award for the 406,000-square foot expansion of Building 1 at AllPoints at Anson, which increased its size to 1,036,573 square feet. In addition, the company was runner-up in this category for the 225,000-square foot, build-to-suit, rail-served facility it is constructing for D-A Lubricant in Lebanon Business Park.
At the BOMA awards gala, the Indianapolis team won the TOBY Award in the Industrial Office Building category for the operations and management of Lebanon Business Park, its 6.5 million-square foot industrial, office and manufacturing campus north of Indianapolis on I-65.
