Duke Realty’s S. Florida Office Begins Construction of Third Warehouse in Turnpike Crossing

After quick lease up of two spec buildings delivered in 2016, developer starts 166,392 SF warehouse in West Palm Beach industrial park to meet potential tenants’ immediate space needs.

(Weston, Fla. ‒ May 1, 2017) In South Florida, Duke Realty Corporation (Duke Realty), a leading nationwide REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in the ownership, management and development of bulk warehouses, has announced that it will build Turnpike Crossing 6747, its third warehouse in its Turnpike Crossing industrial park located and fronting the east side of Florida’s Turnpike at Jog Road in West Palm Beach, Florida. The 166,392-square-foot building, which is being built on a speculative basis, is located in the southwest corner of the development and is accessible from Belvedere Road. Turnpike Crossing 6747 is slated for delivery in November 2017.

One of the newest and largest industrial developments in South Florida, Turnpike Crossing encompasses 67.2 acres that can accommodate 882,850 square feet in up to six, modern 32′ clear, Class A warehouses. Located in the west central portion of Palm Beach County, Turnpike Crossing provides direct access to Florida’s Turnpike via Jog Road, while two other roads in the Turnpike Crossing area provide northbound access to the Turnpike and I-95. In addition, Turnpike Crossing is close to South Florida ports and Palm Beach International Airport.

Turnpike Crossing will feature 32′ clear height, 50′ x 42′ column spacing and 50′ x 60′ dock bays, with 60 – 9′ x 10′ overhead doors. The building’s end caps will be equipped with oversized ramps and two 12′ x 14′ automatic doors. Outside of the building will be a 120′ truck court, 49 angled trailer storage spots and parking for 230 automobiles.

Turnpike Crossing 1315 and 1333, the first two buildings Duke Realty developed in Turnpike Crossing, total 122,400 and 102,850 square feet, respectively, and are fully leased to six companies.
