(TAMPA, FL – March 11, 2011) HomeWise Insurance Group (HomeWise) has signed a lease for 17,811 square feet of office space at Duke Realty’s Highland Oaks, an eight-building, 1.03 million-square foot Class A office park located at the I-75/MLK Jr. Blvd. interchange in Tampa.
HomeWise provides homeowners and other property insurance in Florida and Louisiana. The company will move its headquarters from multiple spaces in its current building to consolidated space in the 128,400-square foot Highland Oaks IV. The move is scheduled to take place in May.
“The building and park are an ideal fit for HomeWise’s current and future needs, and we’re very pleased to have another company relocate its headquarters to Highland Oaks,” said Duke Realty Senior Vice President Doug Irmscher.
The lease raises the occupancy rate to 92.1 percent in the 575,000 square feet of Duke Realty-owned office space in the park. The I-75 submarket occupancy rate for Class A office space is 79.1 percent.
Duke Realty Vice President Tim Hain represented ownership in lease negotiations. HomeWise was represented by Bill Reeves, director of office brokerage at the Tampa office of Cushman & Wakefield.
