Mattress Firm Leases 60% of New Duke Realty Warehouse in Greenfield North

(Raleigh, NC – August 5, 2015)  Duke Realty, a leading nationwide REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in the ownership, management and development of bulk industrial facilities, and its leasing agent Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announce that Mattress Firm has leased 80,225 square feet in Duke Realty’s new industrial building in Greenfield North Business Park, a 228-acre industrial campus in Garner, NC. The new building, which is currently under construction on 9.6 acres at 1000 North Greenfield Parkway, is slated for delivery in January 2016. Greenfield North Business Park is located southeast of Raleigh at the intersection of I-40 and U.S. 70.

Mattress Firm, a leading retailer of mattresses and bedding products, will use its space as a new distribution center serving the Triangle and eastern part of the state. Mattress Firm also leases space from Duke Realty in Minneapolis and Dallas.

When complete, 1000 North Greenfield Parkway will feature 30′ minimum clear height, 50′ x 55′ column spacing, 31 ‒ 9′ x 10′ dock doors and two 12′ x 12′ drive-in doors. The building also will include 1,200-amp electrical service with 277/480-volt, 3-phase power and an ESFR sprinkler system. Surrounding the building will be 116 automobile parking spaces and a 130′ deep truck court.

A master-planned industrial campus, Greenfield North Business Park is home to several of the area’s leading companies, including the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Mohawk, Butterball and Golden State Foods. From its location at the interchange of I-40 and U.S.-70 and the proposed extension of I-540, Greenfield North offers superior access and visibility and is minutes from downtown Raleigh, RDU International Airport, the I-440 Beltline.
