Makris Honored at SIOR Awards

First-year member Art Makris earned two prestigious honors by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) in 2011. He received the 2011 Rookie award and another one, to boot: Largest Dollar Volume Transaction for an Industrial Space. Makris earned his awards for a cooperative transaction worth approximately $65 million.

3630 Peachtree Leases 20,800 Square Feet to BB&T for Retail Branch and Investment and Wealth Management Divisions

3630 Peachtree, a joint venture of Duke Realty and Pope & Land Enterprises, Inc., has leased 3,988 square feet of space to Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T) for a branch bank on the first floor of the building and 16,812 square feet on the second floor to BB&T’s wealth management division and Scott & Stringfellow, BB&T’s regional brokerage and investment banking division.

Walnut Creek Recognized by BOMA

Duke Realty’s Walnut Creek Industrial Park in Raleigh was recognized by the Southern Region TOBY Awards as Top Industrial Park of the Year in 2011. Nancy Lowery is the park’s property manager.

Duke Realty Breaks Ground on D-A Lubricant’s New 250,000-Square Foot Headquarters in Lebanon Business Park

D-A Lubricant Company, Duke Realty Corporation (Duke Realty), the city of Lebanon, and the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) today broke ground on D-A Lubricant’s new headquarters building in Lebanon Business Park, a Duke Realty-developed industrial park just off I-65 and State Road 32.
