Business Operations in the Current Environment

Though public attention on COVID-19 has lessened over the past few weeks, our company is still keenly aware of the dangers that this virus presents to the health and well-being of our associates, customers, suppliers and residents of the communities in which we operate.

That is why as the economy reopens, we are proceeding with an abundance of caution and care. We continue to work closely with public health experts and other advisors, as well as following guidance from the CDC and adhering to OSHA guidelines.

We do believe that we now have a good understanding of how to operate safely and are in a position to put the plans, processes and protocols we have developed for the health and safety of all.

We have reopened our 17 offices across the country, but have given our associates the option of continuing to work remotely. For those who opt to return to the office, we are asking that only 50 percent of the team come in daily. Signage, masks, thermometers and enhanced cleaning protocols are in place in each office.

At our construction sites, we continue to follow CDC and state directives. We have jobsite guidelines in place that we share with all of our subcontractors and require their compliance to continue their work on our projects. Hand washing stations, additional bathroom cleaning, social distancing and masks are all now standard at all Duke Realty job sites.

We also continue to work with our tenants to help ensure that they can remain operational. We’ve assisted them with finding cleaning services, adjusting operating hours and procedures and rent payment options.
