Thoughtful, Safe Approach to Reopening Duke Realty Offices

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to impact our great nation. During these challenging times, Duke Realty’s top priority is our people—particularly our associates, tenants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Keeping them in good health is at the core of our operational decisions.

We continue to monitor the latest information about the virus and remain in full compliance with local and national directives and recommendations from the CDC. Below is a brief overview of updates to our business operations:

  • We have reopened our 18 offices across the country, and are permitted to operate at 100 percent capacity. Masks and social distancing are required in all our office common areas and public spaces. Signage, masks, thermometers and enhanced cleaning protocols are in place in each office. All our associates remain available via phone, email, and text to work with you. Feel free to contact anyone on our team.
  • We continue to work with our tenants to ensure they’re aware of the CDC’s recommendations—and to offer assistance arranging cleaning vendors if needed. We value our tenants and are committed to working together with them while assisting any way we can throughout this crisis.
  • We’ve also been proactive on our construction sites around the country. We’ve communicated with all of our subcontractors and vendors stressing the need for their compliance with CDC guidelines, as well as their obligation to report and follow quarantine requirements for any person with COVID-19 symptoms. We’ve issued new sanitation tools and cleaning guidelines at our job sites as well. And in states requiring the total shutdown of sites, we have complied.

We have a commitment to our associates and clients to help keep them safe and healthy under the uncertainty a pandemic presents. While we are operational and offices have reopened, we have asked associates who have symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID to take CDC recommended precautions. We have business continuity plans in place to ensure the needs of our clients are met. Stay safe and healthy. Together, we can get through this.
